How do I get the best milage out of the Outlander PHEV?
- Engage the Eco Mode button under the Center Dash Display Screen.
- For short trips (Under 25 Miles round trip) engage the EV Mode button behind the Gear Shifter.
- Engage the regenerative breaking using the paddle shifters, 5 will break hard when you release the accelerator, and 0 will not engage the breaking at all.
- Plug in the Hybrid when not in use, If you select the Prepaid EV Extra, you will have access to the charger cable located under the trunk cover for home charging with an extension cord.
There are Level 2 stations in downtown Bend at 70 NW Newport, at Centennial Parking Garage 750 NW Lava Rd, at Walmart 20120 Pinebrook Blvd, in REDMOND at Fred Meyer 944 SW Veterans Way, and at Mt. Bachelor. There are over 165 Level 1 chargers across Central Oregon..
I have included my cards to charge at any ChargePoint or Blink stations.
I’m planning on transporting pets is that ok?
Mitsu is set up as a pet free vehicle, but you can add an Extra that will cover a pet cleaning fee, please select it to avoid Turo’s cleaning fee of $150 & be familiar with Turo’s Pet Policy. Service Animals are always welcome.

Turo allows service and assistance animals, as defined by law, in any vehicle on the platform.
Pets, including animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support, don’t qualify as service or assistance animals
If you’re traveling with a pet (non-service animal), filter your search to find and book a vehicle labeled “pet friendly”
If you can’t book a “pet friendly” vehicle, use Turo messaging to ask your host’s written permission to bring a pet
We require pets be in a crate/carrier while in the vehicle.
Where’s the best place to fuel up?
I prefer Exxon Mobil Regular in Mitsu.
Airport: 2337 S Hwy 97 in Redmond is open until 9PM And is about 2 miles from the airport.
Downtown: 3198 N Hwy 97 in Bend is open 6AM-9PM and is also 2 miles from the ChargePoint Drop off.
South Bend: 61160 S Hwy 97, Bend 6AM-10PM except on Sundays it is 7AM-9PM. This is the closest station to my house.

What if i need to keep Mitsu longer?
Easy! Just go into your trip, select “change trip” and put in a new return day and time.
As long as it’s not booked by another Guest, there should be no issues extending your trip.
If so, I’ll communicate via the App Messenger or Turo will automatically deny it.

I’ve booked Mitsu, but need to change the pickup or drop off before the trip starts. Can I do that?
Absolutely! Find the instructions below.
Before the trip starts, guests can add or change the pick-up/ drop-off location.
Here’s how:
1. Log onto Turo and open the “Trips” tab.
2. Tap “Booked.”
3. Select the trip you’d like to change.
4. Tap the “Modify trip” button.
5. Choose “Change Location.”
6. Choose or enter the new location and tap “Update.
